This video shares how Christianity (Roman Catholic and Protestant) came into Korea.
This video consists of two parts: one is about the first baptized Korean Roman Catholic believer, Seung Hoon Lee, and the second is about a missionary from Great Britain who became the seed of the gospel in Korea.

I made this video when I was a junior in high school as a "Christian Faith" class project under Pastor Ball at Lutheran High School North in Macomb. Although the acting performances might not look super professional, we did it with a joy of learning and sacrifice.
I thank my brothers who helped me make this film again. I was able to put this together
because I read a book about the entire history of Christianity in Korea.

Tertullian, one of the Church Fathers once said,
"The more we are mown down by you, the more numerous we grow; the blood of Christians is seed" (Apology 50), which is usually misquoted,
"The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church."
And this truly happened in Korea. After the severe persecution, Korea had a huge Revival in 1907. Even after another severe persecution under Japan's tyrannical colonization, Korean Church survived and has carried on the mission and task that God has given her.

These days, however, Korean church is in trouble.
The church in South became too wealthy
while the church in North undergoes the most severe poverty.
The church in South became too powerful with the earthly authority
while the church in North cannot even worship Christ publicly.
The church in South became too prideful with what she has
while the church in North has nothing to boast about but Christ.

Pyongyang was once called "The Jerusalem in the East" when the Revival broke out in 1907.
Now, it is the castle and fortress of the insane and wicked tyrant.

I hope and pray that the Korean Church will realize the value of her legacy
and repent her sins and return to her Love, the Christ.
Please take a moment and pray for the Korean church.
I hope that this video will encourage the believers around the world in their walk with Christ as well.

To God be the Glory.
