To me Rabin was the greatest violinist ever recorded, he had the best staccato I have ever heard. He always had the ability to blow your head off with chops then turn around and make you melt with his romantic vibrato and lush tone, just close your eyes and listen for yourself and remember he was only 15 when this was recorded!

This is a radio broadcast that has never been released by any record company and has never been for sale at any time. I created a group at yahoo around 2000 for Michael Rabin because I wanted to know more about his life because I have always been in awe of his sound, a few years ago someone sent a whole ton of unreleased stuff to me performed by Rabin that has never been released, this is a small sample of what is to come on this chanel.

For more info, photos, discussion, etc on Rabin visit my yahoo club at

I have uploaded rare out of print and unreleased recordings that are difficult to find, I hope you like them.

Since they are so difficult to find no one should mind me uploading them, if you have issues with me uploading them please send me a message and I will remove them.

  • Vorhees the hack--he's always behind the soloist! Too bad that all these famous Bell Telephone Hour concerts, that we cherish today, were conducted by a dilettante.

  • great!

  • thanks

  • I Agree 100%
