Shot with the Canon EOS 600D (T3i/Kiss 5) DSLR, with the kit 18-55mm, manual focus at 720p running 60fps.

Slight color tint done with iMovie. Camera goes up to 1080p, but shoots a norm max of 30fps at that resolution. Pretty much the same quality as the 550D.

short film.

  • @nonsoville do i need any other program other than imovie to get that kind of video quality? I want to buy the camera. Also do I need anything other than what the camera comes with to be able to record video?

  • @Scene4FIlms All I had at the time was iMovie. I now use Final cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere and After effects. Each for its own reason, with Final cut and Premier being similar but Premier's more flexible/preferable. For recording with the device though, you need any SD card above class 5. Anything below won't work. If you wanna get more creative, you can research on other lenses. The more expensive the lens in each range (wide, telephoto..etc), the better overall quality and durability.

  • how do you get it to autofocus when you take a video ?! i have canon eos 600d but the autofocus doesn't work : (((((

  • @MySathe It's also possible to use the shutter button for autofocus while recording, but it could be slow/ noisy, depending on the quality/ speed of the lens.

  • @nonsoville thanks for the info!

  • @SunnyShawFilms Yeah you should be able to change that in the video settings. However, it also alters the frames per second options.

  • @nonsoville can you change region format in every canon 600d camera ?

  • @nonsoville yea i noticed it was a bit noisy but kinda the same sound you get if you do it manual

  • @MySathe There is no auto focus, it's all manual. Nikon has managed to implement the autofocus feature in their new line of DSLRs. However, it has a few issues as it's in the early stage and is also targeted towards beginners and casuals. I'd recommend practicing with manual as it allows room for control and creativity.

  • @187pod1 Thanks so much!
