This is a short color film of a 3 week round trip cruise between New York City and Bermuda aboard the Monarch of Bermuda in 1939. The ship arrived back at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on the 9th of September. There are quick glimpses of the Royal Naval Dockyard, Hamilton, SS Queen of Bermuda, Paget Parish, the Bermuda Railway, Front Street, and Manhattan.

  • I swapped the old music with some Calypso. I hope it's an improvement :)

  • Nice shot or Queen of Bermuda sailing past. At 0:38 you can see her sister Monarch of Bermuda tied up at the quay.

  • This is great to see what it used to be like. I only imagined it before. It was nice to not see the current day traffic they have especially during rush hour.

  • Great footage but the music is inappropriate. Bermuda looks so beautiful.

  • you have an incredibley rare video of the bermuda railroad (not existent anymore) in there.

  • Gorgeous footage! Color! Great camera work!
