@TequilaAssassin4eva actually, the rear is suppost to fall off to avoid damaging other parts of the car by dragging and such. Also, if the rear falls off easily, it is easier to replace, or put back on. Sorry bub.

Okay it's pretty clear in this video. That he was going to try and do donuts and make a huge cloud of smoke, to where the police have no visibility of the street racer. Than the Street racer would take off in the smoke and the police would have lost him. Little did he know he wasn't in a movie.
