Scuba Diving in Lake Norfork

I learned how to scuba dive in 1981 when doing a 3-part series as 'Western Bureau Chief' for KAIT Television.

My series was shot around Bill Burn's dive shop "Marine Technics" (long-since out of business; now visible only as the remains of an A-frame structure along Hwy 62 between Mtn. Home and the lake), Dan Brakebill's swimming pool, and of course, beautiful Lake Norfork and the fabulous white sand beach of Jordan's "Sand Island".

Check my channel for other stuff I did at while a bureau chief at KAIT...you'll find a cave at Cushman, the Koshkonong woman with the famous phone number, drug busts on the Eleven Point River, etc etc. I also did a 5-parter on lead mining in the proposed "Irish Wilderness" in Missouri, but that series never got dubbed from 16mm to video; I'm sure it has long since been relegated to the celluloid dust bin...
