Here is a really bizarre find. I got this at Goodwill today and it's another stereo demonstration record to find. This is a Stereo Test Record on the Project 3 label. This LP was in conjunction with the Popular Science Monthly magazine where we would bring you some interesting techniques that you might find on this album. You can learn how to adjust your balance and gives you full range in sound quality depending on using it. This LP was produced by Enoch Light, he also did a series of stereo albums on the Command label back in the late 50's and 60's including "Persuasive Percussion", "Stereo 35MM" and many other Command titles. This is one of them.
I ended up playing this Project 3 Stereo Test Record on my '75 GE Wildcat to hear what it sounded like depending on using other types of turntables. You might hear a series of tones throughout the album including the following:
1. Introduction
2. Channel Identification
3. Phasing
4. Channel Balance
5. Introduction to Frequency Response
6. Test Frequencies
7. High Frequency Tracking
8. Acoustical Test
9. Low Frequency Tracking
10. Rumble and Noise
11. Standard Pitch "A"
12. Orchestral Sound Line
13. Percussion Party Line
14. Stereophonic Strings
15. Guitar Underground
16. 21 Trombones
17. Full Orchestra
I hope you'll enjoy this Project 3 Stereo Test Record. Any suggestions, please leave a comment.
