I think this method of 3D imagery is very clever, as are most projects from the lab, and realized I might be able to explain it better with a little DIY demo. In essence, I am using photoshop layers to act as the two layers of LCD and shifting one layer left and right to simulate moving my head left and right. (note: I accidentally say the bottom layer when I mean the top layer, and I think I talk a little slowly as i am watching what I am doing, but my first foray into on the spot demo :) (and sorry about the weird video distortion in the start)
