About this song, Alice Gerrard wrote: This song comes out of the fond memory of a friend who was a very patient and kind mentor to me when I was 11 or so, and he was in love with horses, Mateo worked on a ranch near where we lived in the California (then) countryside between Oakland and San Jose. Although learning about and being around horses was the immediate reward, the longer lasting, deep feelings came from our friendship - being able to spend lots of days, weekends, and one glorious time, a whole week, with him and his sister, feeling a part of them and their lives.
Mike on lead Guitar, Alice on Rhythm.
It's been re-released on 5-String Productions

I always liked Alice since the 1st time that I heard her, and Mike, he compliments any one that sings with him. Together they do a beautiful job on this song from the memory of Alice's childhood.I love the song & I love their duet.
