When I read the books, I wavered back and forth between Mel Gibson as he looked in Braveheart and Gerard Butler as he looked in Beowulf and Grendel for Jamie. I just now realized watching this, the two of them should play the MacKenzie brothers. MG could be Collum, and GB could be Dougal. Anyone else think that would work?

Very good except for two.. not Sean Conry neither Orlando Bloom... . But Josh is amazing and just like I though Jamie was (Gerard would be the older one...)

Wow, I wish they would make this film. I love your casting choice the best of all the youtube clips especially Josh Holloway as Jamie, with his hair died he would be perfect. Brilliant

Josh Holloway Is an inspired choice for Jamie. Dont know if he's any good at accents but he looks the part far better than most. A little old for the beginning of the story but definitely better than Gerard Butler. The casting is crucial for this to work. I kinds wish it was going to be an HBO or Showtime miniseries, along the lines of Rome or Henry the VIII. I'd hate to lose to much of this story. I love it.

I think Josh Halloway is a better Stephen Bonnet than a Jamie, but I totally enjoyed
your efforts.

Too many big name actors...Outlander should be full of unknowns. It's too much of an original to have actors who aren't as well.
