@TheUnforgiven676 Lars wasn't better then than he is now. The reason people think he's so bad today is this place, YouTube, and other sites like it. It's possible to instantly compare drummers in a way you couldn't do back then.
He has gotten better since the 80's. Hell, he couldn't even record the double bass on fight fire with fire. He had to do it afterwards, with two sticks in his hands and the bass drum lying down!

Lars was good in the 80's, I don't know what the hell happened though? Probably when the money came in he didn't work as hard. Brann is a great drummer, better than Lars now, and don't see him, or Mastodon, selling out like Metallica -.-
