For those of you that don't know where Wadena is, try almost 65 miles NNW of Alexandria or 3 1/2 hours NW of the TC on HWY 10. My dad lives 15 miles north of there. He couldn't see the wipers of his truck the rain was that bad. Also, Wadena didn't believe that a tornado was that far north, that's why your hear the siren WHEN the tornado hits town.

@kamiana69 : nah, not really.
-
@Trampadoo do you consider 13 miles close enough?
-
@kamiana69: PS: I hope you and your family and friends are okay!
-
@kamiana69: That's why I wrote that "in areas" and not "living" close to that area? *rolls eyes* ;)
-
@Trampadoo "get hit by numerous tornadoes and other storms each year"? I've lived in close to this area for 20 years, this is the first tornado that i remember actually hitting.

@toadinajellyjar they're supposed to be planting some trees this weekend

Guys, c'mon really your gonna bash those people that live in houses made of wood. probably everyoneon here who is making fun of those people living in houses made of wood, live in houses made of wood. so you guys need to stop it because even if your house is made of stone or steel or whatever your house can still be blown away. you really think that steel is going to withstand 100-200mph winds. you guys are dumb.

The building code for the tornado alley area is a joke.
If you want to stay there, stop building with toothpicks.
It's steel reinforced concrete and deep foundations
or see your house flyyyyyyyyy.....
