A trip to Italy was on the top of my list of things to do before I die. As you can imagine, this trip was big time for me. And indeed, I had the loveliest time in Italia.
We started in Rome to Florence to Venice. We were so taken by the grandeur of St. Peter's Basilica and the Roman Forum. The Vatican City was amazing. Ofcourse, we threw coins over our shoulders at the Trevi Fountain and walked the Spanish Steps.
I find myself so blessed with actually witnessing the works of Michaelangelo first hand. That guy is a genius!
The views of Tuscany were breathtaking. OMG! The rolling hills covered with castles of San Gimignano and the Chianti Country were so overwhelmingly beautiful and serene.
The Statue of David was so inspiring - Michaelangelo's masterpiece.
Oh, but Venice! Now, the feeling was different the moment I stepped foot in Venice. I was in a nirvana state. This city is like no other. Every street and alley has a character of its own. The small canals and bridges were so charming. The gondoliers singing in their lovely gondolas bring such a romantic feel to its canals. A city of masquerade balls - Venezia is so majestic, romantic, and adoringly beautiful!
Life is good. Ciao!
