Slow Blues Jam - Kai Strauss

This was recorded at the FZW in Dortmund (Germany). I was invited to be part of "Wolf's Guitar Battle" and had a lot of fun jammin' with Wolfgang and his band. The song I'm trying to sing is B.B. King's "Why Do Everything Happen To Me" (Hawkins/Taub). Yes, the solo is very long and has some little glitches but I like the overall vibe and the motto was "guitar battle", right?

Thank you! The guitar is based on a 1982 Squier - I changed everyting except for the neck and body.

Thank you for the comliment! I am from Germany and (what can I say) I just love that style. Most of my favourite players are from Texas: from T-Bone Walker and Albert Collins to Jimmie Vaughan, Anson Funderburgh and Derek O'Brien.

I have a Super Reverb Blackface from 1966, all original. And I play on a Fender strat Avri '62 with Texas Specials. Do you play it clean, or with tubescreamer? What are your ampsettings (volume, treble, mid, bass, reverb). If you use a screamer, what kind? Thanks a lot from Holland
