In this video interview, Bryan Eisenberg explains what a persona is -- a particular type of customer whose buying patterns have predictable characteristics. He begins with four classic personality types: competitive, methodical, spontaneous, and humanistic. With data from keywords, sales people, customer service reps, etc., a persona can be developed for each type. Then copy for landing pages can be designed to speak to each persona -- substantially increasing conversion rates.

I am a big fan of Bryan Eisenerg and Dr. Wilson and have read both Bryan's books and several of Dr. Wilson's. I found Bryan's explanation of personas on this video the clearest and most usable of any I have seen previously -- and that includes in his books.
This topic os of interest to me but Dr, Ralph Wilson is not captioning any of his videos nor providing verbatim transcripts so this is shutting out all people with hearing loss. I have previously contacted Dr. Wilson but his only defense is that he is a small business. If he is making sure the video has audio for benefit of his audience, the least he can do is make sure it is visually comprehensible for benefit of audience who needs it. I continue to be very offended.

We have both books that are mentioned and applying what we've learned has made a huge difference to our websites.
Thanks to both of you for your insight and assistance (via your newsletter/blog).
This is exactly what I am looking for.
Thank you, Dr.Ralph Wilson
