Bobby Hutton performed at Maxim's as part of the PlayOn Cabaret series. Hutton has been writing songs and singing jazz, smooth R&B, contemporary and pop music since he joined the Motown family in the days of Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles and The Temptations and others. In 2005 he released a cd entitled Twenty Years Later that earned him a nomination as the "Best Male Singer in Chicago" at the 2007 Chicago Music Awards. The title track became a stepping classic. Bobby performed some of his own songs — including the new "Last Night While I Was Dreaming" — and interpreted some of the great songs recorded by singers such as Nat King Cole, Luther Vandross, Johnny Mathis, and Tony Bennett. Bobby was backed by Victor Baker on drums, Mike Logan on piano, and Billy Dickens on bass.
