Damascus Chronicles -final fantasy viii- fanfic NEW trailer

Kai Toshida: Kai is a physical representation of the players, he's been with Cloud and the others since the Nibelheim massacre.

plot: This is prequel to ffviii. Gilgamesh, the famous inter-dimensional traveller from the whole ff series has visited the Cloud Strife from the ffviii dimension (which is an alternate dimension to vii) to take his sword (although Cloud defeats him he still gives Gilgamesh his sword too generously...because it's fake as you'll know if ya play ffxii), Gilgamesh tells Cloud everything about dimensions and so Cloud sets off to travel to the Kingdom Hearts dimension to find another Aerith. Meanwhile many things happen in his absence, the Galbadian army try to take over Gaia, The dark messanger: Diablos (the same Diablos from viii) and finally another Sephiroth appears, created by Diablos using the deepest fears of Cloud's heart, this copy then follows Cloud to the KH dimension while feeding off the light in his heart attempting to make them both one with each other (this explains why Cloud has a wing in kingdom hearts). Oh yeah and Damascus is now basically the name of the space that all the ff worlds exist in.

OKay, first: Nice Video, although it's already a bit older now. I just love it when people mesh good games^^ And I think I already 'feel' the atmospehere, so I just typing to find your story!

Oh, and there are some lines that, even if I can't be sure you intended to, 'reminded' me of other game/movie quotes:

@Nihal95 Hey, thanks for the feedback :D I'm always more than happy to hear what someone has to say about something I've made (good or bad). While the first line you mentioned was not intentionally pulled from Chronicles of Narnia, I did get the second line from Devil May Cry 3 (a game which I am a massive fan of btw ^_^), however I felt that it suited how hectic things get in Cloud's absense, and so decided to make use of it.

the story itself is complicated, but the fanfic is basically imagining that ff8 is an alternate reality to ff7.

The clips with cloud and everyone are set in ff8's past.
