I'm currently in production on a documentary about architect William Tickell, and the chapel he is building next to his home in Davis Canyon, California. This cello solo is one of several creative pieces to be staged in the chapel during construction. The cellist is Danielle Morrison. This is an early cut.

  • How are there no comments on how awful this woman's playing is!? This is why you do NOT hire musicians (or any kind of artist for that matter) based on looks. And so we're clear, I'm not focusing so much on how she played, because that can all be a matter of opinion, but on the fact that she's obviously an amateur player (at best) and the only reason she's in this video is because of her looks and her willingness to wear a slip for a dress.

  • @unceasingembrace I guess you haven't read the comments then.....neither the unflattering and unkind statements of supposed cello aficionados, nor the part about her being a student, not having enough time to learn the piece due to production schedule, and that the track will be re-recorded at a later date, for the final piece...which is about architecture not cello "snobbery" (and this is much kinder than the word I usually use here).

  • @barrygoyette It's amazing to me that this video, posted a year ago for the primary purpose of the architect being able to share it with his family, has achieved nearly 90,000 views. Many of the comments have been kind, but an unusual amount have been honestly...just plain unfriendly, unconstructive, useless. Really. And just so we're clear here. That's a dress, not a slip. Bought it myself.

  • where can I find this documentary in full length ?

  • @metalscale still in progress (as is the construction of the chapel)...stay tuned..should be developing it more in the spring...

  • this is so beautiful I cried..='(

  • @Poet2916 thanks!

  • i love your interpretation of Sarabande :D

  • @barrygoyette Sorry for the snobs. I am trying to decide if I should pick up the violin, viola, or cello for just a hobby for my own enjoyment. This was perfect to really hear how the cello sounds. I like it very much. Thank you for sharing this with us all.

  • @unceasingembrace

We anxiously await your video response, unceasingembrace, in which you demonstrate your much superior presentation of that piece.
