We had an amazing dust storm here in Brisbane last Wednesday, so l took some footage. The video hasn't been altered at all, this was the colour of the sky at mid day, it was difficult to breath, you could smell and taste the red earth, lt was an amazing day. Just for fun - Brisbane dust storm footage put to a song that l sung in the chorus when l was 8 years old. The song is called "Willy the Wombat"

I stayed at a B&B in Brisbane several years ago. Beautiful city! But with my natural American way of pronouncing it as "Bris-beyn", I was constantly being scolded on how to correctly pronounce it: "Bris-buhn". Now, whenever I see Brisbane mentioned anywhere, the first freaking thing that comes to mind is how to pronounce the goddamn name! ARGH!

no that's the first one Ive seen in suburban Queensland up north theirs one every now and again.

And the funnel webs are more common in southern Australia Ive been up here 10 years now and haven't seen one, but it doesnt mean we dont get fucking huge ones

Do yall have dust storms like that often in Australia? I was watching a show in the National Geographic Channel that said yall have one of the deadliest spiders in the world if not THE deadliest in Australia. It's called the Funnel Web Spider..Anyway, take care and enjoy your time in the US.
