@completemusician I can see what you mean where it first comes in, it does stand out a bit more than it should have if it were intended to blend with the koto.. However after that I think it worked quite well in the mix

I think the accordion doesn't work. I know they were going for a carnival-ish sound, but the sound just doesn't fit, and on top of that, the performer is off beat - no precision. In short, it sticks out like a sore thumb and ruins the nice timbre blend between the koto and flute. The percussion is great, as is the bass, koto, and flute. Maybe go for 4 clarinets (or smoother synth sound) instead of an accordion.

Been a fan of Korb for a while now, well as the result of emassing celtic music. Rand across a couple cds on the wall at Quest Recording too. Heh. Very cool. This is very interesting!
