Very sad to hear that Tristram Cary died last week (23 Aug 2008) - I urge interested listeners to check out his anthology double-CD 'Soundings: 1955-1996' (TP139 Tall Poppies, Australia). It really is the most remarkable record.

Thanks a lot, I'm not sure but I don't think Tristram wrote the theme for doctor who, and do you own an EMS

Cary didn't write the theme for Doctor Who, that was Delia Derbyshire doing an electronic version of someones original score, but he did create incidental music used in early episodes :)
