SwankiVY sings "Once Upon a December" from Anastasia

On my last video I took requests, and this one came through from 3ILONKA3. (I happened to both know the song and have the karaoke soundtrack to it.) This is my first try doing something a little different: I recorded the audio separately and mixed it into the video for better sound quality. I hope you'll notice a difference!

Unfortunately I think I will only be able to do this sort of thing for singing videos, because I recorded the audio through my computer and not my camcorder; it doesn't have an option to use an alternate mic, and therefore speaking videos will probably just have to use the camera's mic. Too bad. I kinda like this.

The photos in this video are all me as a li'l kid, and those who know me might be surprised to see some Christmas photos in there since our family didn't celebrate Christmas. (It's because those pictures weren't taken at our house, but I wanted to include some "December" pictures because of the song's title.)

This is one of my favorite songs, and I love Anastasia. The song's always meant a lot to me both personally and in relation to a character in one of my books for whom the message is very relevant. I hope I did it justice!

@mrbarandca Thanks, it's one of my favorite songs and sort of has meaning to me because of how it pertains to some stuff a character of mine goes through in a book I wrote. :)

@ecompton531 What I mean is I'd have to find background music and learn a song I'd never heard before if I wanted to perform this, so . . . if that happens, I'm sure I'll post it. :)

@Allison121497 Thank you for the compliments. I don't need to be told not to be afraid, though. I'm not afraid. Though if I sing too loud my mic cracks and buzzes, so there are limits to what I can do with digital recordings.

You are very good. Not too light or breathy, like most. And not with too much gusto, if you know what I mean. Maybe a little bit louder. Don't be afraid! You're GREAT! :P

@SilverInsanity Thank you. I do have some songs that I infuse liberally with vibrato (it seems to work for the delicate feeling I was looking for when I performed "Winter" by Tori Amos), but it's not something you need to slap on everything.
