Peter Was a Great guy,he truly spoke from the heart.I first met him at Mendocino center, he came walking up to me with a big grin, shook my hand, then proceeded to roll that one sleeve up and he started to tell me about the back country trails program and said i had been referred to him by a supervisor, said think you can do it? I said sure can ! he then gave me a choice so i picked Yosemite (93). No doubt that Peter Lewis will be missed by those who knew him and those who know of him. Bryan Quick

i was backcountry trails 1995 yosemite. hearing of peters death saddens me a great deal. he was a unique and very different person. his orneriness and gusto was unmatched by any i have known. you are gone peter but you are not forgotten.
Rest In Peace Peter Lewis! Wish I could of had the opportunity of meeting you! I've had the pleasure of hearing a few of the many great things about you!
Having learned that Peter has gone leaves me to believe that somewhere in heaven, God needed someone to motivate his angels. He will be missed very much and will be remembered for being an awesome human being. Raymee... Yosemite II of 1999.
