Thank you for the tip ! That's indeed very easy.

Good idea!

I'm impressed at the speed in which you did it. Less than 2 minutes, on a windy day as well!! You've obviously mastered the art. I've been thinking about buying a Ron thompson. You've just convinced me.
Well done. Thanks for the video as well. I'd never thought about taking a bucket. What a good idea.

mcdeco7, I have found both ways to be effective in different weather conditions. You can also reply to my comment without being abusive! Cheers!

Birnside,
You are so totally wrong. These shelters are designed to have the flaps inside... Why design and test something only for you to not take any notice. PRAT

Its better to have the flaps on the outside otherwise the wind gets underneath & blows the whole thing over!
Also by doing it this way you dont end up digging a big hole inside the shelter where you are going to sit!

in calm weather you can do as you say, but, fishing regularly in rough weather, f5-8, i've found this the best way, with flaps on the outside, the wind pushes the back in abd drags the flap out from under the stones, this way that can't happen, as for the resulting hole, i'm over 6ft and like to be lower down. suits me!! thanks for the comment,
