LAURIE ANDERSON - Parte 1

Laurie Anderson es el paradigma de la artista total: música, escritora, dibujante, performer... Se define, ante todo, como una contadora de historias y, como tal, son el lenguaje, la dependencia de la tecnología y la política internacional de su país, EEUU, sus principales preocupaciones. Afincada, desde muy joven, en NY, Anderson ha logrado estar siempre en plena vanguardia formal y expresiva. Así lo demuestra en su último espectáculo: "Homeland", programado, el pasado 14 de mayo en el Teatro Central de Sevilla, como actividad paralela del curso "Estética y apreciación de la música contemporánea", de su universidad. En esta pieza, recogemos algunos fragmentos de este último trabajo, así como las muy lúcidas y útiles reflexiones de Laurie Anderson.

Laurie is sublime. she is BRILLIANT to the extreme! she decided to take her avant garde material out from arty farty soho new york & bring it to the world! her first hit got her world fame in 1982? watch O Superman. it'll jolt your memory!!! probably a song that jarred nerves, but it sure made itz message clear ;) i aint stopping here. i'm taking you further inside this woman's mind hold on tight!

i'm BLOWN away yet again by beloved laurie!!! last night i was thinking "the world has become more abstract in thought and visually." i've been hunting youtube & the net to hear her speak about 'organizations' running the world, not our so called 'good protective governments.'

laurie is SUCH an AMAZING mouth peace LOL a typo, i mean piece, that millions get to hear her messages thru her medium of 'music/songs/stories etc...'

laurie is going to become MORE WORLD FAMOUS as USA slip slides away!
