According to Maté society is producing addicts and most of the damage that is normally attributed to the criminalized substances. But Why? It's a business. A business for criminals on one hand but also for social workers, psychologists and physicians and the justice system, the prison industry on the other hand. And finally those addicts (and/or the substances) can be blamed for social problems that are caused by the same rotten system. Adding insult to injury!

If only the world would listen to what this amazingly astute man has to say then maybe, just maybe we could recognise the pain so many of us and our fellow human and animal beings are experiencing and just have compassion and love for all who partake in each individual life on this planet earth. Love & peace to all.
