In 1999 two trains collided at Labroke Grove, London. 31 people were killed.
The following year MC Modelmaking Ltd were commissioned to produce a model for use in the coroners inquest in explaining the location of items from the crash, personal property and the recovery operation. The model utilised existing scale model trains with adaptation and additions where neccesary.
My dad died in that crash. He was on his way to work one morning and then he wasn’t. My brother was 7 and a half, I was 4 and a half.
