***About the Film***
A series of shark attacks in New York waters not otherwise known for activity are occurring (netted beach, freshwater lake, a muddy creek). While baffled scientists are trying to figure out how and why, a college student named Leo, who is failing marine biology, discovers a pattern that resembles true life attacks that occurred in New Jersey over 90 years ago. Leaving his home for days at a time, his girlfriend Annette suspects Leo of infidelity. In the meantime, an investigative journalist who is hungry for respect, begins his own prodding into the investigation. The ending is a surprise twist that is virtually impossible to guess, but ends up making perfect sense. "Shore Thing" comprises suspense of nature at its most primitive and is laced with intellectual humor.
