I am so happy that Tyra Banks would cover this issue.Many people don't understand how much racism Native people deal with in this country.We are still used as mascots and you still here people use the term Injun on tv in referring to us.Can you imagine if there were football teams called the NY n****rs or the Kansas city cr***ers there would be an uproar.But native people are seen as images and not people.

Not every native drinks, smokes, or doesn't have a job; but that is actually what a lot of native americans do. Up on my rez, I've met only a handful of friends who don't do drugs, smoke, or drink, all while waaay underage. And it's so insanely true that people only know the 18th century natives. I once had a kid ask me if we still lived in tipis, and they were actually shocked to know up on the rez, we have gas stations... all I could say was... what the fuck? -_-

It's because people from every country in europe came to america and from the beginning they were mixing. My grandpa is Norwegian and my grandmother is German, while both of my other grandparents are native indian. so how many races does that make me, most people would say just 2, caucasian and native.

@TolitoGangster your a fucking idiot sir, first of all i suggest that you go read a history book instead of telling other people to do it. Yes in central and south America there is a lot of mixing between natives and other races, but that is significantly less in northern america. If you took every single mixed breed person in america and considered them a race they would still be a minority compared to everyone who is at least 95% one race.
