Michael Dorn on Science Fiction

Back when the SciFi Channel was new they created a series of 30 second spots to air between shows that utilized the foresight of some of the times leading scifi icons. John Dykstra, Patrick Stewart and Syd Mead were but a few of the icons to tell how science fiction has made an impact in the world around them. I appologize for the shaky nature of the video, it was captured on a old 2 head VCR back in 1992.

I think you are confusing him with actor Christopher Michael who played a Coalition Lieutentant and is also African American. Michael Dorn was not listed on any production materials as playing two roles or playing in that episode in and out of his Worf makeup. Something like that would not go uncommented on in the Star Trek community. The only Star Trek episodes he was in without his klingon make up I could find were "Homeward" and in DS9's "Far Beyond The Stars".

In "Legacy" he played two different characters in one scene. He is standing behind the rest of the away team when they return to the Enterprise, and after the camera view changes, he's standing right in front of the camera with no makeup and taking orders from the Coalition leader.
