Nice job on the construction, but how has the stain held up? My concern with building a pergola is that it will turn in to an ugly gray wooden structure when the inevitable weathering occurs.

i did paint it with what i thought was a stain but the floor is chipping away and looks like it didnt even soak into the wood like a stain is supposed to. I will have to go over it every couple of years or so.
