This is classic, and I love it for many reasons! The 'long-meter hymn' (as it was known) was the cradle of the early black, baptist church. Lots of fond memories....

I love the Dr.Watts at the 5:45 minute mark

He was an inovator in New Orleans. From being the first black baptist church to allow drums to allowing women in ministry to having the greatest gospel artists of all time to come to Ebenezer. He was a unique personality. I am very blessed to have had him as my mentor pastor and the one who encourage me to be a better person and minister. I shall never forget the teaching and training I received under this Annointed Servant Prophet and Outstanding Man of God. Thank you "P"

Im sorry but this is not a Dr Watts hymn. Its good but not a Dr. Watts

@rod78b This hymn is by Charles Wesley. I did not say it was composed by Isaac Watts. His name is included with the tags because this hymn is sung in what the old baptist called the "dr. watts" style.
