  • This machine was based off a design in Jim Williams (Guitar Makers manual). The big differences are the heating system and the waist cawls.

  • this is the Charles fox bending machine!

  • the slot holds the waist cawl from rolling when you add pressure. The slots of the fox do the same thing. The springs hold the waist cawl so you don't have to screw the waist call all the way up. Once you are up enough you can pull the springs and remove the cawl to pull the sides out

  • Hi John - I noticed that your bending jig has springs either side of the waist clamp and not running on the outside of the jig like a fox bender, what is the purpose of the slot vertical slot that runs the length of the jig ?

  • Hi, John.

I finally got around to using the bender. I just bent my first side...a real piece of cake! Thanks so much, and keep up the good work!

  • glad we could help this is supposed to be fun
