Somewhat a remake of the one with Big Bird and Buffy.

It's a part of life, like spelling "know" correctly.

@royhatts1... The day that your urine is scientifically proven to be equally as nourishing to a newborn infant and on up in to the toddler years... then I will agree that it is perfectly acceptable to expose your penis in public for the purpose of urinating... until then.... your argument is ridiculously juvenile and therefore obviously invalid.

This is AWESOME!! As a kid, I remember seeing the "everybody sleeps" clip and they show a baby breastfeeding there, too, and I thought it was cool. Now, as an adult, and as a mother who is currently breastfeeding a baby, this is absolutely AWESOME to see; I wish they'd show things like this more often, especially since I used to be a person who wasn't as pro-breastfeeding as I am now. I wish I'd been more accepting than I was.

That was her real-life daughter, so Maria is naturally nursing her here.

Some people have nothing better to do with their lives than post rude comments, we should feel sorry for people like Mr. Grump. There's nothing disturbing about teaching children how babies are fed, but I think it's better for parents to teach their children things like this. Sadly many parents don't bother to explain breast feeding so it was okay to show it in this episode I think showing child birth on a children's show crosses the line and now times are different. .

Babies are exposed to vaginas when they are born. I find people who use phrases like "All you people are fucking stupid" are the saddest of all. You are mot likely not stupid Mr. Monaghan, but it is obvious you are ignorant. Breastfeeding is necessary and normal. We SHOULD show babies being born because it's normal. And if we did we may have a lower c section rate. People in this country are so weird about normal body functions. Nursing is normal and no one should be afraid of it. Be not afraid!

(I say "almost exclusively" because he gets some solids, not formula.) It is a lot of work, and you have to really WANT to breastfeed, but if you are determined, you can do it. It was far from a cakewalk for me, my son was born lethargic and had a terrible latch...but we persevered.

Nellie K. Adaba, a thyroidectomy does not mean you can't breastfeed. I had my thyroid completely removed due to cancer in 2009, and had my son in 2012. He's almost 8 months, and still almost exclusively breastfed.

Please tell me you're not serious. This is every bit as normal as feeding a baby with a bottle, and if sesame street shows bottlefeeding, it is perfectly acceptable to show breastfeeding. You can't even SEE anything while she is nursing because she is covered up. Sesame Street doesn't show birth videos, and you really can't compare birth and feeding.
