@greentree68 No, they aren't too little to understand. Milk comes from breasts and that's how babies are fed. It's not difficult or offensive. My children were all breastfed and they all know that's how babies eat.

@beckycorning My problem is not with children learning about breastfeeding, it's people arbitrarily drawing lines in the sand. OK, it's fine for children to learn about breastfeeding. Now why shouldn't they learn sex exists? Do you think they'll suddenly start having sex? Why is sex or sexual organs so demonized? Why do some parents teach their children to mispronounce "penis" and "vagina" as if they are bad words?

That's all I'm saying. Don't just stop at "breastfeeding".

I get so irritated with people who think breastfeeding is a "grown-up" topic. Ridiculous. Do they think that as soon as a child understands breastfeeding they lose their innocence? Or that the child is going "Yeah, that's hot!" Wake up people! They were designed to nourish offspring. Grown men are just lucky they get to play with them once in a while. We americans should be ashamed of ourselves for even trying to make a breastfeeding woman feel as if she's doing something inappropriate.

@progressiveparenting Why? I didn't say I would do anything sexual or urinate with my penis. It's just a penis. And it's just as natural as a breast. And if a breasts being exposed in public is natural, then simply exposing my penis- with no sexual connotations- should be legal too.

And sex and cursing aren't on TV. I live in the U.S. On broadcast networks especially it is ILLEGAL to curse or show nudity, even though there's nothing wrong with either.

@gawesome11 WHY?! If you are giong to say 4 and 5 year olds shouldn't know how babies eat you at least have to say why! Breasts are NOT just for sex! People, how do you NOT get that if we explain how our bodies work, little girls wont grow up thinking their bodies only function is to be pleasing to the eye and little boys wont grow up objectifying women and say foolish things like 4 and 5 year olds shouldn't know how bodies function! Really?!

@progressiveparenting Breastfeeding is normal. Will you shield their eyes at the zoo or County Fair if a calf is nursing or baby pigs or kittens or puppies? Really? It's the same thing. Easy to explain. This kid gets it, why don't you?

@gawesome11 GASP! Oh no! You will have to communicate with your inquisitive child!? OH NO! Please, at any age you can talk to your child. If your child if your child is very young answer them in a manner that is appropriate to their age. If you can't figure that out it may have been something you might have thought about before having kids, no? Keeping them in the dark about life is NOT how to raise a child.

@royhatts1 Ridiculous argument. You would be arrested because you are asinine! A breast is MADE for nourishing a child, notice you do not see Maria's breast in this video! Yeesh, people breastfeeding is normal. Your problem with breasts and it's function is not.

@perkulaterful Who said I was against dual purpose body parts? If you want to whip your breast out in public, I should be able to let my penis hang out in public too. Except one of us would be arrested and the other would not.

Also, why not teach preteen boys the correct ways to masturbate, since ejaculation and masturbation are perfectly natural?
