  • A little fast, but I guess that's your interpretation. Personally, I think pieces can lose their jazzy feeling when played too fast, but you managed to keep it in there.

    NIce Job (:

  • Excellent playing. You make it look so easy. Thanks for the camera angle so we can see your hands better. I like the tempo and you actually found the melodic line rather than it just being a technical piece.

  • I love you!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is the speed kapustin intened it to be played

  • Very well played! Though a few painful memories occur @ 1:10 with the retrograde 'la campanella' figure, and @ 1:41 with those pesky Brahms studies.... a testament to my laziness and a tribute to your studiousness!

  • Excellent! It's hard to find good Kapustin interpretations other than Hamelin's and Kapustin's own recordings.

  • First of all, the fingers aren't flat, they are curved in the natural way in which they should be. Second of all, his approach to playing reminds me of Marc-Andre Hamelin's interpretation, where the melody is brought out and the rest is more of an accompaniment, which is a great way of interpreting it. Kapustin endorsed Hamelin's recording and said they were played beautifully and in a way he would have liked. And with that said, you played this exceptionally well and I love your style. Bravo!
