Winner of the UK Musclemania competition on Sept 5th 2010 in the novice category, this is British natural bodybuilder Jamie, three days out from the competition. here Jamie puts himself through an intense series of carb-depletion circuits in the run-up to competition. This montage condenses 45 minutes of 'Upper Body Overload', a series of non-stop upper-body circuits, with just 30 seconds rest between each circuit. After four days of low-carb dieting, this stage of contest prep is about depleting glycogen from the muscles, so the workout uses low weights, high reps, and continual circuits.

  • @conosingorritou - it's a carb depletion circuit, the week before competition. It's not designed to build muscle, it's just about keeping the muscles in shape and burning fat in the run up to competition. Jay obviously did all the 'heavy lifting' in the months prior to this.

  • @aaantonios - check Jamie on stage at Musclemania, on this channel. The legs are massive, calves are like rugby balls.

    I do eat a lot of protein rich food like tuna, beefs eggs and yoghurt and so on, i think i'll need to eat even more though.

    Are the best. Don't have to wear headphones, wait for equipment, can workout shirtless, workout any hours of the day, etc.

    No, natural means he doesn't use any illegal substances (steroids).

    You don't have to use whey, as long as you eat enough protein packed foods like eggs/egg whites, chicken/turkey, beef/pork/lamb and fish for every meal of the day. Whey just makes it easier to get your protein intake up or if you're feeling lazy and just want something quick (whey & oats, whey and banana, whey and nuts).

  • Natural bodubuilding, does that mean he doesn't take Whey proteins aswell?

    I'm doing a lot of fitness without any use of proteins, not even whey, but you know, results are slow aswell.
