Central Florida News 13 interviews Alec Difrawi and Sherif Shouman about the uprising and protests that occurred in Egypt in the first part of 2011. After traveling to the states to finish work on a new modeling Facebook application for SoftRock at its headquarters, Sherif Shouman was grounded in Orlando for over a week after flights into Egypt were canceled. On the day of the launch, January 27th, the Egyptian government shut down the internet at 5:20pm EST, delaying the launch of the application for more than a few days. Now that the internet is back up, Softrock has been able to launch their Facebook application to great success. Alec Difrawi hopes that a few weeks of unrest in Egypt doesn't keep Americans from doing business with Egypt in the future.
