I for one am very excited for Elementary OS Luna. Jupiter has been great but it's feeling tired and Luna is going to be great! I can't wait until a re

I like it, but....
(there always is a but)
How is this diffrent from Gnome System Settings? Why reinvent the wheel?

@74ryanwolf That's not necessarily true. We have discussed Qt very frequently and in-depth, and there are a number of members of our community who would like to switch. The matter is being postponed until Luna is out, but our HIG in no way enforces one toolkit over the other -- it just requires everything look consistent. (i.e, either everything is GTK+ or everything is Qt)

@scionicspectre Switchboard will more likely NEVER have a QT interface as it breaks elementary's HIG :(

It would be interesting if KDE, GNOME, and XFCE had a shared area for settings. If Switchboard can have a Qt interface, I can see something like this becoming fairly standard. Until GNOME 3, I definitely felt this was a rough edge in desktop Linux.
Still, liking where this is going. I think Elementary is going to give Ubuntu a run for its money.

@aromanstuff Reading my post again, it sounds rather rude, so I want to clarify that this is great and I kinda wanted the same since I started using Gnome3(where the "tweak tool" is a must).
Elementary Project? Thumbs up!
There should be a little credit given to KDE. I'm sure there was some inspiration from the settings interface there. MOST of the KDEs settings are controlled there... And there is the (sort of) equivalent of plugs. That being said. Luna - looks - amazing.

@thepiggyslasher I've never used KDE's settings center, but I've heard that they've been pioneers in the area, so I'm sure I was indirectly inspired by them ;)

Really? An IRC channel name without telling on what server that channel is?
(It's freenode btw)

@Planschkuh44 You're very correct -- definitely my bad for not mentioning/linking it in the video. I only realized after the fact, and updated the article on elementary's website and the video description with the server. Thanks for keeping a keen eye! :)
