http://www.therenegadehealthshow.com - This should bring some healthy discussion...
Which do you think is better? Eating all organic foods with no or little variety or eating a very wide variety of non-organics? Watch the show to see what I think and then post your comment below... I really want to hear your thoughts on this one!
I also explain a mistake in a recent email (thanks Grant, for pointing it out!) about protein and what other fruits contain plenty of protein, so you can steer clear of animal protein if you're so inclined...
Go ahead and watch now...
I choose variety. Reason being, I can't get a ton of organic fruit/veggies here that are within my price range. I try to eat atleast 70% of my food organic, but still its hard.
I dunno about the whole variety thing for nutrtitional reasons but I do know it gets boring eating the same food day in and day out.

yeah they are not mutually exclusive? have a variety of organic produce!? fresh is abit of a misnomer anyway, especially in supermarkets...

I disagree however on your view of protein that you don't need to eat meat, I think eating wild game and grass fed, free range naturally bio intensively farmed animals is definitely ok. Obviously, all in moderation, the American proportions are all mixed up. Most traditional societies ate meat as a condiment rather than the main meal. A small portion on the side rather than the bulk.

I say neither, I grow my own food, and it is completely natural, no pesticides or fertilizers and it is fresh fresh, so it is more nutritionally viable than anything you will get at a supermarket, organic or otherwise. Farmers markets though are a good option, but I would suggest organic because I am not a fan of Pesticides and their use, because being the avid gardener I am, there really is no need for it. Big agra grows monocultures and are more susceptible to pests because of it.

I think the best thing to do would be to eat as much organic food as possible, and then when there is a gap in nutritional needs resort to non-organic for variety.

Organic, but I go to several different grocery stores and I also end up with variety. To increase variety, I'm also researching organic gardening for next year which it looking easier than conventional gardening. I didn't know that before.
