Indy Racing League 2001 Race 12 "Chicago"

Race number 12 of the IRL 2001 Racing Campaign. Delphi 300.

Race Winner: Jaques Lazier. Great race, but not as good as 2003 or the 2007 Championship showdown between Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti. Scotty went out of gas.

I'd counter that statement were it not for the fact that 2001-2003 were crap seasons for Champ Car. Too bad the only people to witness the return of its GOOD racing were the ones at the track.

Ovals are okay, but I'll take a good road course any day. And I mean GOOD road courses - like St. Pete, Road America or Cleveland, not narrow crap like Detroit, Mid-Ohio, or Infineon.

And I'd much rather see them racing the G-Forces from 2000-2002 than the Dallara(the oval trim is HIDEOUS!).
