The SUPREMES in Japan! 1975 - Can't Take My Eyes Off You.

Wilson is by far my least favourite Supreme but some of you might like to see this. Personally, I don't like her voice but more inportantly I was appalled when she let background singers in her solo act get away with working as "Supremes" on their own. Surely "Parasites" is a better (and more honest)name.

Actually, Mary pursued her former background singers. Karen Ragland responded by counter-suing, claiming that Mary caused her to miss out on revenue because of the litigation.

Yes and Wilson had to pay up! how ridiculous! She should always have had all her back up singers (Female & Male) sign a contract saying they will not use the name under any circumstances.

Thank you for setting the record straight.On the last album Diana introduce Jean Terrell as her replacement. Barry had hidden motivate when he told Mary that he wanted to do away with Jean and bring Syreeta.He knew Mary would not go for it and this was his way of being done with the Suprems. The record shows that he clearly was interested in Diana 's career. Barry did a lot of people wrong at Motown. Mary could always sing she just never got that special break. Righ On Mary

Mary Wilson's vocal ability was really hurt by her years in the background. But having said that, without her, we wouldn't have had a 70s Supremes. Period.

I wouldn't say "...didn't even appear on many Supremes recordings..." when referring to line-up including Mary and Florence. Now as for the Cindy and Mary line-up, that last statement may be creditable!

PS ROSS KICKED ASS AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL (Sold Out-7/25 & 7/26/O8) 18,000 screaming, dancing fans each nights. The VOICE has deepened but the rougher edges completley benefit her jazz renderings. Her versions of "Don't Explain" & "Fine & Mellow" were other-worldly in their beauty and passion!!! AND.. Sista lookin & movin too good!!
