I am a combat veteran Having served two
tours of duty in Iraq. I can tell you it is a mess and
its not getting better wake up America. You want to
know what I did over there I drove all over the
country getting shot at going through ieds losing 2 of
my best friends. I escorted oil pipes all over and you
know what I saw more going on at the oil fields than I
did see us helping the Iraqis. And almost everyday the
pipes we escorted were blown up. Wake up
People!!!!

"If Canada invades Montana?"
"Well, Montana could probably take care of it, but we'd help them out a little."

-
Right.

They are not needless, he is just gathering information and allowing Ron Paul explain what he means, which is good. You cannot just say that you are going to eliminate the Department of whaterver without an explanation because you look looney. But John is allowing Ron to explain his position by asking simple question that people would ask like "is better to attack them there than here".
-
Talk about the suffering Economy damn it, Ron has a good solution for that as well. GO RON PAUL!! GO RON PAUL!!
-
What's up with John Stossel with these needless war questions?!
-
Oh, Iran is our pet monster. Our history with Iran is one area that I do have some gray area. When we deposed Mossadegh and put the Shah in power, we were doing it primarily to keep oil fields from being nationalized as well as toppling someone we saw at the time as a potential Soviet sympathizer. The stakes were very high in the Cold War though, so while I can agree that some decisions weren't the most effective, there were the most apparent for the world at the time.

Oh, and the other reason that Vietnam is doing so well now is because our preferential trade experiment established under Clinton with Cambodia expired, essentially removing the impetus for corporations to do trade with Cambodia (who has strict fair labor laws) instead of countries with very lax standards who are cheaper. As a result, a lot of the businesses from Cambodia are moving to Thailand and Vietnam... and Vietnam is the lowest bidder.
-
Where does it state this?
-
Likewise this hindsight appreciation of our intervention as if it had zero effect is convenient. Vietnam is a communist country, but the communist expansion was stopped because of the cost of further expansion. And yes, their economy is "booming"... like a penny stock up to 15 cents a share from 10, and THAT is thanks to the communists compromising their morals to allow capitalist growth and investment. That's why I have a nice cheap desk made in Vietnam.
JOHN STOSSEL has rocks in his head, he is s pea-brain moron--he is such a mindless pawn of the MSM, and Ron Paul is so much out of his league.
