Same performance at Steinway Hall on June 17th. This is with my violinist Alicia Ciccone. I'll have the first movement up soon.

  • can someone help me get the music sheet for this sonata? for both violin and piano? i would greatly appreciate if someone can help me find it. thank you

  • you can try sheetmusicarchive dot net

I don't think they have the violin part by itself but it has the full score.

  • do i need to join SMA? to download because i try to download but all i got is a blank page with nothing.

  • No there is no membership required. You are however limited to two downloads per day. That's weird that you got a blank screen: if you have a windows computer, right click on the underlined words: download now (or something along those lines) and it should let you save it to your computer.

  • Albert Einstein's favorite and he played the violin.

  • Very sad piece!Mozart wrote this violin sonata when he was in ParisIt wasnt his idea to go Paris---It was his Fathers decision.(Hey Dad was payin the bills,so what was he going to do?) His mother went with him,and when they got to Paris,Wolfy was miserable,as he had left his girlfriend behind in Mannheim..Soon after they arrived, his mother became ill,and she died. And if that wasnt bad enough,He also lost the love of his life,Aloysia Weber, who met someone else while he was away.

  • For those who want the score, you can find it for free on IMSLP. org, the International Music Score Library Project, and probably on the website of the Neue Mozart-Ausgabe as well.

Lovely performance! The room probably isn't the best acoustic for the recording but you bring out the lines of the melody very nicely. If the violinist would step back a bit so she could see the pianist the timing and phrasing could be even better - still, really nice! I'm playing this now and it's great to hear.

  • Mozart's Sonata in E Minor, Albert's favorite piece.
