1981 ford f100 custom ,429 big block

****UPDATE** sorry guys for such a long wait ! ive been in college for auto tech and the whole truck was put on wait due to school and finacial . now since i am off for the summer i can start putting the engine back togethor finally !***this is my truck, the chassis is all custom with a 1971 ford LTD front end assembly. ford 9inch rearend with ladder bar type suspension. box is all custom build from the ground up . the engine is a 1968 ford 429 big block. its in the machine shop right now and geting it back soon . if you have any more questions feel free to ask :]

is it a boss 492 block or just the regular 429...and do you have any boss parts on it

@Muzicsallitsworth no its not a boss . i have herd that the boss does come from the 385 series block which mine is . this is bbeing built with factory super cobra jet parts. such as cam, heads ,intake nothing to spectacular

@scottydogg927 thanks ! ive been lazy on the the progress of pics and vids, but trans is built and many of the motor parts are done. painted the block a nice mustang blue , looks a bit darker than the classic ford blue

Cool truck man. It takes me back. My first truck was a 1981 Ford F100 Ranger Explorer. It was 2WD and came from the factory with a 302 V8, C6 auto trans, and 9 inch rear. The color was metallic black with red interior. I was the second owner. Keep up the good work.
