Elektra One performed the first flight on 19. March 2011. The aircraft was optimized for a cruising speed of 100 MPH. The max. range is over 400 km, max. endurance over 4 hours. In combination with a solar hangar Elektra One is flying with Zero CO2 emission. PC-Aero will certify this one seat aircraft up to the end of 2011 in the German ultralight class. The aircraft weights empty only 100 kg (incl. engine and propeller), has a payload of max. 100 kg and may be equipped wit up to 100 kg batteries. The final goal is to offer a complete system (aircraft + hangar + energy) for less than 100000 EUR. For the solar hangar PC-Aero is working close with the well know German solar company Solar World.
