Thank your very much.
I have been a procedural programmer (assembler, basic, pascal, fortran, C, awk, php) for 30 years. I have been trying to understand the objects and classes for a while now, and this is the first time,s that somebody explains objects in terms I know and understand. You really uncover the magic of object programming and I think I will finally will be able to use it.

The meaning of your communication is the response you receive.
Means the same thing, but is easier to say and is more general.
If you get a blank stare in response, you've communicated nothing.
I would say an object is like a package of both data (variables) and the operations (methods) which that data allows.

Well, that's where we differ. I would say that the data of a specific type can only be affected by the operations appropriate to it, but that the object itself is the data, not the operations.
