Andre Carson's remarks create tea party stir

Carson, a leading member of the Congressional Black Caucus, told a town hall meeting audience in Miami that some members of Congress, particularly some of those aligned with the Tea Party movement, view African-Americans as "second-class citizens" and would like to see them "hanging on a tree."

@RaananaZehava The only slavery going on today is the democratic party enslaving blacks. Your "so called" black leaders become rich while poor blacks suffer from generations of poverty due to welfare and failed social programs. People like Andre Carson and Maxine Waters buy their constitutes votes with welfare checks and promises of more handouts when they should be working in the community to teach the young black children that the road to success is education and hard work, not rap and gangs.

I guess he never has heard of a good man whom was running for Lt. Governor up in Michigan, for the US Taxpayers Party, one Mr. Chris Levels . And mind you, Andre has short term memory when it comes to the history of the Democratic Party, the kkk and Senator Robert Byrd.

I agree with the terms above because all these Pro-Black political forces are totally against what affirmative action stood for... Affirmative action is being abused and manipulated by people of all ethnic groups, and the CBC is acting as this political force only for the interest of a certain ethnic group where the very same ethnic group they represent are becoming in part a permanent underclass... SO!!! not only is it racially appropriated but its corrupt!!! SHAME ON THEM!!!

Yeah...I've seen Black Entertainment Television.....the Black Miss America, the Black Congressional Caucus. But I never have seen White Entertainment Television....the White Miss America or the White Congressional Caucus. Seems to me blacks are being "catered" to more than any other race. hmmm?
