HP Pavilion DV6000 Blank screen fix BGA rework video problem
This BGA rework fix also works on the HP DV2000, DV6000 and DV9000 there are a couple more HP's with this BGA video issue.
This is a design flaw that we solved with our upgraded copper heat sink and thermal compound.
Also effected by this issue are a couple Compaq models. The Comaq Presario V3000 V6000 and a couple of the Pavilion models.

i want to ask a question on these laptops which having black screen problem can we use alternate usb graphics card did u ever checked it kindly check it and tell us is that working or not cause i have done reflow of laptops several times but my laptop works only for one week then again goes to black screen

@libraidol2001 If your GPU is bad or going bad, it will stop the system from booting when it fails. So external VGA will not work forever.

@goldencoin100 We use a dark IR reworkstation that does heat the other side of the board too..

@trick6952 We also reball and do new GPU replacements. We have added a lot more to our procedure including the use of a digital dark IR rework station. This guide is to help the average person be able to fix their laptop at home.. If they need help with the fix they are always welcome to send it in to us for a professional repair.

@efthimiadi Well copper helps drop the temp but you can always put it on a thermal pad with fans too.
