MIRI:  Fragile and isolated, Miri moved to France to support Philip when he got a job transfer.  Little did she know that his new "line of work" would take him away so often and for such long periods of time.  With no friends and very little French language skills, she clings to her apartment and the comforts of routine to pass time.  She ventures onto the streets only as necessity dictates, fearing that her sleeping condition will betray her.
